Tamara Newman is the Housing Equity Strategy & Impact Advisor at Fannie Mae, where she leads the organization’s efforts to advance equity, access, and sustainability within the housing finance system. Reporting to the Vice President of Housing Equity Strategy and Impact, Tamara spearheads key initiatives, including the development and execution of Fannie Mae’s Equitable Housing Finance Plan. She is responsible for managing the portfolio of housing equity initiatives to improve fair, equitable, access to housing and homeownership opportunities for all on their consumer housing journey, thus contributing to wealth-building and financial inclusion. Tamara’s passion for housing equity is supported by over a decade of experience in housing finance. At Fannie Mae, she has held key roles, such as Advisor for the Finance Transformation Office and lead the Integrated Command Center for the Common Securitization Platform Initiative.
