Biography
With a distinguished career in the NYPD, Dave leverages two decades of law enforcement experience and more than 25 years of real estate practice to educate REALTORS® internationally on how they can safeguard themselves against predatory behavior, including robbery, assault, and sexual violence. He also co-authored the agent safety book, “Safe Selling: A Practical Guide for Preventing Crime without Sacrificing the Sale.”
In 2019, as a graduate of the NAR Leadership Academy, he advocated for creating a REALTOR® Safety Advisory Committee, becoming its first chairperson in 2020. Dave also held the roles of Education Chairperson and Board Member of the Beverly Carter Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving agent safety. Dave also served as the 2021 & 2022 National Fundraising Co-Chair for the REALTORS® Relief Foundation and currently sits as one of their Board of Directors.
Dave retired as an NYPD Sergeant in 2002 after serving as a first responder at the World Trade Center on 9/11.
