Social Sweepstakes Official Rules

To be eligible to win the prize in the 2023 NAR NXT Social Sweepstakes, please follow these rules:

Entry Period

2023 NAR NXT Social Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 9:00 a.m. CT on October 17, 2023, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on November 6, 2023 (“Entry Period”).

Eligibility

You must be a registered attendee (either Premier Access Pass, One-Day Pass, or Expo Only Pass) of the 2023 NAR NXT, The REALTOR® Experience, a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States, District of Columbia, or U.S. territories, and at least 18 years of age or older at time of entry and drawing(s). Employees of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), including their immediate families (parents, spouses, children, siblings, and each of their parents, spouses, children and siblings) and household members (whether or not related), are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is not open to the general public.

How to Enter

Instagram Entry: Entrants must publish a post on Instagram using the #NARNXT hashtag and tag the @NARNXT account. Your account has to be public and the post must be in your public timeline in order for the entry to be recognized. Instagram Stories will not be counted as valid entries. Entries are only valid on Instagram. Limit of one (1) Instagram entry per person.

Alternate Method of Entry: Send an email to convinfo@nar.realtor as indicated herein. The email must contain all and only the following information: Subject Line: “2023 NAR NXT Social Sweepstakes”, Body of Email: your registration confirmation number, your full name, street address, telephone number, and email address. Limit of one (1) alternate method of entry per person.

No responsibility is assumed for the lost, late, incomplete, or ineligible entries. Late entries will not be eligible. The Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

Void where prohibited by law.

Drawing/Odds of Winning

The Sweepstakes will consist of one (1) drawing for one (1) prize bundle (a VIP photo opportunity with any of the three (3) General Session speakers + $100 REALTOR® Store credit) (approximate value: $500). If the winner holds a One Day Pass to NAR NXT, the VIP photo opportunity is limited to the General Session speaker scheduled for the same day as that One Day Pass. The drawing will be held on or about November 7, 2023. Each entrant is eligible to win only one prize in this Sweepstakes. Prize is nontransferable, no substitution of the prize will be permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the prize with either the cash value of the prize that would have been awarded, or a prize of equal or greater value in the event the prize bundle become unavailable for any reason. Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Restrictions on Prize

Winners will be notified by direct message on Instagram, or email. Winners may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and, where lawful, a publicity release within five (5) days of notification. If affidavit and release are not signed and returned within five (5) days or if the prize notification is returned to Sponsor as undeliverable, then an alternative winner will be selected. All prizes will be awarded. Winner will be notified of date and time for the VIP photo opportunity with one of the three (3) General Session speakers. The $100 REALTOR® Store credit will be sent to winners as an electronic gift card via email from NAR staff. In the event, NAR cannot confirm the eligibility of the winner, a requested affidavit and/or release is not signed and returned within five (5), or if the prize notification is returned to NAR as undeliverable, then an alternative eligible winner will be selected.ngs.

Liability Release

Entrants, by entering, agree to release Instagram of responsibility and agree to Instagram’s terms of use. Winners, by accepting the prize, agree that the prize is awarded on the condition that NAR and its agents, officers, directors, representatives, and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prize or participation in the Sweepstakes. Winner further acknowledges that NAR has not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for the warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or law, relative to the prize including but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition, or fitness. All entries submitted become the property of NAR and will not be acknowledged or returned. By participating, entrants agree to these official rules, and that the decision of the judges is final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Any taxes imposed upon a prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner.

Consent

Entrants consent to being contacted by NAR by phone, including text message, for anything related to this Sweepstakes. Winners, where lawful, grant permission for the use of winner’s name, voice, city, state and photograph or videotape for advertising and promotional purposes in conjunction with this and similar promotions without additional compensation.

Early Termination of Sweepstakes

If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, or fraud beyond the control of NAR, which corrupts or affects the administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, NAR reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. NAR is not responsible for misdelivered or delayed entries, lost, miscommunications, or other errors of any kind. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes, as solely determined by NAR, will be disqualified. Any attempt to damage, tamper with, or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes, is a violation of these Official Rules.

Agreement to Official Rules

Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.

Winner List Request

For the name of the prize winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt by December 31, 2023, to: 2023 NAR NXT Social Sweepstakes; NAR; 430 N. Michigan Avenue; Chicago, IL 60611.

Sponsor

The sponsor of the sweepstakes is the National Association of REALTORS®, 430 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60611.

Privacy Policy

Personal information collected as part of this Sweepstakes, including e-mail address, is subject to the Privacy Policy of NAR.

Governing Law

Entrant agrees that all matters arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Illinois, without giving effect to any of its conflict of laws provisions thereof. Entrant further agrees that any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to this sweepstakes and these Official Rules shall be adjudicated in a court of law situated in Cook County, Illinois, and the entrant hereby submits to such jurisdiction.
